I'm selling my near-perfect black E38 sport seats. They are heated and (of course) powered. I've made custom harness adapters to make them plug-and-play for pre-1999 models. Adapters work perfectly, no airbag lights or anything. No wires or plugs have been cut - the adapters are plugged into the stock 99+ connectors and can be removed if your car is a 99+. Note that the heating circuit is NOT connected with the adapters (since my car wasn't wired for heated seats anyway)... so if you have a pre-99 car and you want to use the heaters, you'll need to modify the adapters a bit... but it's not a big deal - it can be done. If you have a 99+ car (w/ heated seats), the heating will work fine without any modifications.

Asking $600 + your regular seats (must be black). Local deals only, no shipping. If you don't like my price, please keep your comments to yourself.

I know everyone will ask for pictures, so I'm planning to take some tomorrow and I'll post them here.

Really? $600 and no, you posted in the forum you get the heat for posting ridiculous prices. A fine set of OEM seats can be had for half that even on eBay. Any relation to Murad?

Well, everyone's entitled to have an opinion. Ok, bring on the heat :shifty
This is what they're worth to me. If they sell - great. If not, fine. A search on ebay shows only 1 set (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E38-740I-SPORT-SEATS-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ160456066111QQptZMotorsQ5f CarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) of E38 sport seats available, with a price of $750 + shipping (and the seller can't spell, so who knows what to expect there...), and plus they're in worse condition than mine and they're not black. There are also 2 sets of E39 sport seats (which don't have some of the E38 adjustments) - 1 for $1425 shipped and 1 for $989 shipped. So anyway, I'm not going to argue or justify my price any further. Just consider it an offer posted on the wall. If no one cares, that's fine, I'll survive.

All jokes a side, i think you have a better chance of selling them on ebay than on here.

There's a set on Ebay that has been listed on there for quite some time. He's asking for 650 with no takers.

Perhaps in a better economy, someone might pick these up, but I think most of us are content with our e38s being trouble free for the most part, keeping up with maintenance, and unfortunately modifications are put on the back burner. =/

OP:
Good luck with selling the seats. At lease you are realistic about what and how you are marketing them. I hope you get what you are asking.

Dazednkefused - I wish you would have told me that on Monday.... Some of us have on obsession (in the clinical sense) that can't stopped... My MOD craze needs to be checked...:help

Even in a "depressed" market there are buyers, I sure am a prime example of that. That said, I am enjoying my $$ getting me more Mods per Mile... :)
