Can somebody tell me if I can expect to run into any issues by replacing my 17"x8", 225/45 wheels/tires with the following:

18"x8" with 225/40 front
18"x8.5" with 255/35 rear

The ones I'm looking at are OEM 5-spoke wheels and I am replacing some 10-spokes.

Thanks!

What are the offsets of the wheels you want to run?

If you're using the correct offsets you should have no problems whatsoever. That's the exact sport package size for the Z4.

The 10-spoke that I have now are 47mm offset and I've searched but I can't figure out for sure what the offset is on these. Below is a picture of the ones that I am looking at buying. Can anyone tell me what it is off hand?

I dont' see any pics...maybe it's my computer at work. But am I understanding that you're using OEM Z4 5 spoke wheels?

I don't know what they came off of originally. All I know is that they are 3 series. Here is the link to the ad on Craigslist with pictures:

ahhh...gotcha.

well, those appear to be the Star Spoke 189...they should be a 34mm offset up front and a 37mm offset in the rear. The Z4 with the same staggered setup calls for a 47mm offset in the front and a 50mm offset in the rear.

Read this info on offset from tire rack's website...it should explain it pretty well for you:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=101

15 and 13mm difference in offset is fairly large IMO...the wheels may require spacers for them to fit properly, or look good.

you'll be fine, it'll sit nice and flush with fenders. you won't rub on rears, but you MAY rub on fronts if you go full-lock. just make sure you don't go taller than a 40 profile
