Bluetooth compatibility

I am planning to get a nokia unlocked phone and do not see the phone in the list of bluetooth approved phones in bmw website that can be used with the car, does it mean that it will not work.

How do i ensure that the phone will work before i buy it

Chances is that it will work with the car. Most late model phones with bluetooth will work. You might loose some functions e.g. phonebook sorted by first name not last name...etc.

Its an expensive phone so i want to be very sure it will work. How to do that ?

1) Go to BMW dealership and ask to try it out. Why would they say no?

2) Find a friend with a BMW and try it out on theirs.

3) You can either call BMW or Nokia and ask them.
