Well the good news is pretty sure I finally secured an internship for the fall semester which means my build is goig to commence here shortly.. What do you guys think about my plans of picking up a 60-1 or a Gt35r if I can find a decently priced one. And quality exhaust mani probably cast. And then buying my intercooler and lines from a 700 dollar kid on ebay. I understand why I should never buy a turbo or an exhaust manifold from ebay. Do you guys know of any issues they've had with their intercoolers and blowoff valves and such. I wanted to get quality "heart of the kit parts" then try to save a little money for the stuff I thought was fairly generic. Anyones thoughts please. Probably going to get my toon from TRM with the blowthrough Maf. (mines toast anyways so my car wont be driving until the build is over with).. Anyways what are your thoughts on that plan. And what do you guys recommend doing about a down pipe?:devillook:devillook

You can get away with running a large size Ebay Bar and Plate Intercooler, I would use a Legit Tial for the BOV and wastegate. For Cast manifold; SPA. Turbo, I would go with a SC61 or the 35r. Both have the same compressor wheel. Exhaust, Im sure you can souce one, or better yet; find a local that can custom make you one.

Tuning, NickG or TRM or if you are OBD1 ( 95 M3's) then its even easier as you have many more options.

Headgaket, Cometic with proper procedure.

ARP Head-Studs.

CCV modification.

Air-pump removal..

Not much, it's a pretty easy car to Turbo. M3's love boost....they respond very well to it.

Good Luck.

So the consensus is that the intercooler and piping is legit enough to use for my build.. I knew I was gonna go with a name brand exhaust mani and a turbo. wasn't really sure as far as the BOV.. What about the oil lines and oil cooler ? Are the oil coolers necesarry ?

whats your realistic budget..
like, what number is it that you are going to start kicking yourself and thinking about quitting once you start going over?
also.
realistic power goals.
that will say a lot about what parts you should be going with

I bought a turbo m3 while I was in school and on a very tight budget. Big mistake...

I would recomend you hold out untill you have good cash flow.

My goal is going to be about 400 whp and 400 wtorque. Money wont exactly be tight for my while I'm doing the internship. They are gonna pay me 20 an hr and all of my housing is paid for so its just cash in my pocket. I'm hoping to stay around 4 grand I have like 100 ready to throw at it right now I'm just waiting to figured out what I'm gonna do first. I pmd the guy and he hasnt responded about the TT kit

dude OP if money wont be an issue, your better off picking up Mod Addicts TT hardware and getting TRM's tuning package.... or buying TRM's kit straight up and not have to deal with any hassle of sourcing parts and fab work unless you rather do that?

Pm sent with price and parts list.

The kit would be sold with everything in the original ad except the hfm, tune and injectors.

This with a good tune and a free flowing exhaust combined with a M50 intake manifold would be well over 400/400 @ 13-14 psi

This kit is just barely broken in and is in need of a new home:(

I'm sure Nick would sell you the HFM, injectors and tune if you asked him. It's his kit after all.
