I have just aquired a light gray 2002 M5 with the stock 18s in chrome which are really not my style. Im trying to pick out some rims for this car and would appreciate some input. First off, I need to decide what size width for the front and rear wheels. I will be running them with the stock suspension because i dont like the harsh feel of coilovers and have terrible roads where i live. I also dont want low profile tires. I would tires to be as wide and thick as possible. Thickness like stock wheels 40 in front and 35 in rear. How wide of a tire/wheel can i use for ths setup? Feel free to post pics of similar setups so i can see what it will look like. The wheels I am considering so far are Kinesis ks68, Kinesis ks88, forgeline de3p, hre 790r (bit too pricey though) and others i will consider in similar style if you have suggestions of high quality 3 piece rims. Strength of the rims is important to me as the M5 is very heavy. Colors can be changed but I am leaning toward doing light gray as the rest of the car will be pretty stock and i would like a descently stock look. I like straight spoke rims better in general (like ks88) but for a stock look i like the style of the others. My favorite of these are the kinesis ks88 but I am already planning on putting them on my clk 430 showcar which is heavily modded. Let me know what you think!
