I have a Lightweight Flywheel (solid, removed the stock DM flywheel) and a Sprung disk with Sachs HD pressure plate.

After around 480-500 FT/lbs of Wheel TQ the clutch just lets ago and slips like no other. (cant believe it actually held that even for a short while)

I want to keep my Lightweight flywheel, and just upgrade the pressure plate to a beefier unit and maybe a ceramic disc

I want to keep some fairly smooth engagement, I understand the dynamics of a HD clutch so I know there will be a loss of driveability, however; I need to find a pressure plate and sprung disc that will bolt up to my lightweight Chromoloy flywheel.

All I see are pressure plates designed around the stock Dual Mass Flywheel, and Im not putting that back in. I LOVE the way my car feels, shifts with the 16lb chromoly.

Thanks guys.

Southbend can build you a clutch for a lightweight flywheel.

I have a Southbend stage 5, rated to 735 ft/lbs, and use a 16 lb steel flywheel. Driveability is great and should hold ~625 wtq at least from what I'm told.

can you guys post how many miles (an estimate would be great) that you have on your clutches so far?
