My 328i experienced some vibration and I took it to the dealship. The dealer after 3 days of investigation told me that the DME will have to be replaced. Not sure of what exactly the problem is? The DME looks like it is the onboard computer... why would that have to be replaced for car vibrations.. I would think a lot more functions will fail if the DME fails..
I have ~25K miles. Anyone has experienced anything similar? I couldn't find a lot of DME failure cases in the forum.
