E46 forum isn't showing any love, so I'll try this in general (please mods, dont' close or tow for a double post, I just want some answers)

I want smoked tails for my 2000 sedan, but I'm in the dark. Who makes smoked kits for the E46 and which would you recommend? Also, I think there is a film that you can buy and just smoke them yourselves. How does this work? Is it worth it? What are the chances of messing up and how well do they cover the amber? How would smoked tails look with clear corners/side markers? Anyone have any pictures of silver E46's with smoked tails?

thanks, in advance

I think BavAuto has them. Thats where I got my e36 smoked tails.

bav auto is overpriced, IMO. Dinan, I'll check those out when I'm not at school, I was sort of hoping for personal recomendations.

Thanks :)

You can smoke them yourself using some paint... there's a write-up somewhere in these forums.
