I have a 1992 325i 4dr that has started giving me some trouble with the driver side door window regulator. I have the parts to relpace the regulator but the car is blowing fuse #7 and my windows are down and the sunroof open. This fuse blew about a week ago and I replaced the fuse and no more problem. Now the fuse has blown and we I replace the fuse it blows immediatly indicating a short somewhere. I thought that since I have ad problems with the drivers door that this may be where the problem is but it is not. I have disconnected the main harness from the door and the fuse still blows. I have removed any window switches and the sunroof switch thinking that possibly there could be a short in one of them, not the case. The fuse box cover says that this fuse is for the central locking system, which is not working now either. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know.

Thanks

Got schematics to trace your problem down with?

You may want to check this thread about the wiring harness that goes to your trunk area/lid. You might have a short in the system back there.. evidently Fuse 7 constantly powers that rear trunk lock..
