I believe the TMEs are bushings that keep the tranny from moving while turning in order to prevent the "money shift". I think the clutch stop goes under the clutch pedal to keep it from being depressed all the way, but am not really sure.

I am interested as well.

STL Avus M3 is correct.

I have them both. Red UUC TME and UUC clutch stop. I had to cut some of the lenght from the clutch stop to gain the adjustability i needed.

how much do the clutch stops go for? is it easy to install and what exactly does it do? how do u start up your car if the clutch isn't depressed all the way?

A trip to the hardware store and about $2 will provide a clutch stop.

my clutch stop was a bit more, $6 from Ace Hardware parts, but it has a nice 2" diameter neoprene face to it.

so what's the point of not letting the clutch go down all the way?

is this just so the engage point comes faster?

right now, i don't really feel that my car engages slowly, maybe it's just me?

thanks for your help guys!

You're not going to change the engagement point with a clutch stop...it simply reduces the amount of pedal travel because it prevent you from pushing the pedal all the way down to the floor.

You can make a clutch stop from a few simple parts from any hardware store. :D

The clutch stop allows you to adjust the amount of over travel. This gives better clutch feel and quicker engagement.
