318is magnaflow muffler

i'm looking to replace the muffler on my 94 318is, and i'd like to go with a maganflow. the only trick is, i'm having a hard time figuring out the dimensions of the stock muffler to apply to the replacement.

has anyone done this swap? anyone have the dimensions (pipe size, case length, etc)?

not looking for a rice can, and not looking to spend $1000.

My stock 318 has a 2" pipe going into the muffler. You should be able to measure the muffler dimensions on yours.

what about a mid-pipe or catback?
i bet that would help open up your car better.
doing just a muffler is possible, but a fitted catback wouldnt be much harder (if not easier) and you would be more pleased with results.
