I'd like to be able to set some of the settings when I lock and unlock my car, but I don't seem to have the menu option. I have the following: Check Control, Oil, Init, Time, Date, Service Info, and Set (Gas Icon). Here (http://i4p937tu.s3.amazonaws.com/bmw_menu.mov) is a video going through the options (9.8 MB .mov). I've tried with both the car on and off, in the case that made a difference (it didn't).

Found this on the fourm, based on a similar question. It seems like you will have to take it to the dealer to get this programmed, however it should not cost anything.

Hope I helped.

Thanks, I'll take it to the dealer. The manual made no mention that it would have to be programmed or is not available on all cars (seems like it's part of the alarm system).

Yeah no problem, the only lock/unlock settings i get anyway are if i press unlock it will unlock one door, or all four. I might look into this as well. Seems nice
