Hello all,
I have a 328 on lease, and planned to return it in September when the lease ends - I'm well under my limit on the mileage, and car is in fine condition.
So per the letter from BMW Financial, I have been calling my local BMW centers to schedule an appointment to return the car within the 60 day window - they ask for the VIN/ Account number - but now, after leaving multiple messages with that info at 3 dealers, have not gotten any response. Checked again with BMW Financial, and turns out (this is my first lease!) that only the dealer that sold me the car is required to accept it back - for all other dealers, its their choice.
In my case, I bought the car in Santa Maria, so returning there is not ideal. Any suggestions on what to do next? Is there something I'm doing incorrectly? Are there better dealers to work with in LA? Worse case I could drive the car up to Santa Maria, drop it off and persuade a friend to give me a ride back but would prefer to avoid the waste of time.
