Hi Guys,
I am trying to decide between 2 different 335i's (coupe's) both 2007. Here are the details:
Car1: 38K miles, premium package, no sport package - WARRANTY Until April 2011. Price 21K
Car 2 77K Miles premium and SPORT package, CPO with warranty until Sept 2012 or 100K Miles . Price 20K
I know these cars have low reliability so there is no way I am going to own one w/o a warranty. However I am not sure if 77K miles is considered high for a 335i. Having peace of mind is very important to me since I have never had much luck with german cars in the past in terms of reliability (3 Mercs, and an M3). Please advise...thx!

I am looking at buying a 2007 w/ premium and sport package for 24500. Its got 38k miles and warranty until 4/26/2011 or 50k miles. Does that help? I am thinking I am getting a good deal... Although it is a sedan - wife wants the 4 door.

Sport package is almost a must-have on these cars. If I were you though I'd hold out a little longer until I found one with lower miles and the sport pack.

Having driven a non sport package car I would say don't even look at them, they're like a "sporty" camry. Keep shopping around and find something with sport and a little bit lower miles.

77k miles is too much, I'd go for the non-sports package 38k miles one. Don't worry too much about these "packages". You have the 335's engine, that's better than any package you will ever get.

Really though, the sport seats and steering wheel are so much better than their non-sport counterparts. I had a non-sport e90 loaner last weekend and the standard seats leave a lot to be desired.

Sports package = Better seats, harsher suspension.

On Monday I'm buying an 07 Sport, Premium, Cold, Zenon with 53k miles and CPO that includes all maintenance for $23,888.
I really wish it had logic 7 and comfort access but I wouldn't consider a 335i without the sport package. The seats, suspension, wheels and even steering wheel are important to me.
I know where there are two sport package cars that look like an even better deal than mine. If you are interested I can tell you about it after my sale goes through on Monday.

Horsecrap! There is nothing wrong with these cars. You've gotten caught up in Internet hyperbole. The only issue is with the HPFP and the vast majority of people (including myself) have had zero problems with that, and BMW has extended the warranty to 100K if you were to have issues.
And in the USA, the suspension on the 2WD coupe is the same regardless of sport package or not, Titanium09.
