okay right now i have about 8 000 bucks saved, im working and saving money right now. next year i will be in gr 12 and i will have school only up to 12 so i will be working full time for around 9 bucks so its just a bit over 15 000. then as soon as i am registered to post secondary i can get a job with my dad and will make around 12000-15000 during the summer. so i will have over 30 000 to work with for my car. now my dilemma is that i dont know which bmw to choose. i want a 3 series if its a e36 a 328 or something and if a e46 a 325. now nothing is set in stone because i have alot of time to decide but i want to get a good clue to what i want to do. in the future with this bmw i plan to turbo it and do many other mods. if possible can u guys tell me which model (older or newer) do you guys prefer and why. i just dont really have a clue on which road to take and could use some input thx in advance

1995 M3.
Very flexible engine and car. Has a lot of potential. Tons of mods for it.

for a daily driver, i'd get a 2000 e46 328i sport.
I have one, and it's had absolutely no problems whatsoever. The power is awesome and it handles phenomenally.

A later E36 M3 (97 or 98) would be well within your budget and very awesome.
dont worry so much about the milage as the maintenance to the vehicle. Though my M3 is a weekend vehicle, they have amazing engines that can get you well in the 200,000 miles if you take care of her. Of course you'll have clutch's to replace and wear parts but thats a gimme anyway.
With a few mods it becomes truely an amazing vehicle

my friend (mp525i) on teh board sold his 525 and picked up a 95 avus blue w/ like 65k on it or something, for about 15k you cant go wrong on a 95' m3

what bout a e39 5series???? thats what i am looking for.....great daily driver...go test drive one thats a manual and you will fall in love with it.....i suggest a 540i.....282hp 6-speed......amazing!...slap a supercharger on it for another 6k and it will give you like 410hp at crank....
cant go wrong with that

for 30 grand, theres a lot out there for you. best bet, make a list of cars you want, rank them. go find them, test drive, and decide. look up performance mods for your cars. see what will get you the better car for 30k. i personally think a late e36 m3 or a earlier 330 would rock. a 5 series would be very cool as well. there are a ton of cars outside bmw as well.
