What is the Black Book price that a dealer would pay on a trade-in or outright purchase of a 2009 328xi with Premium and Cold packages, one with 4k miles and one with 14k miles?

I'm guessing around $26,500.

Thanks.

1. search interwebs for 'black book.' (or blue book)
2. Click on link to used car pricing site of choice
3. Enter relevant information, and be sure to select 'trade-in' value
4. Click send
5. Return and tell us the answer

E92Dreier,

Do you have a link for actual Black Book prices, or do you have access to Black Book?

There's tons of UNofficial valuation websites, including KBB and Edmunds and a hundred others. I'm not interested in that. I want to know what ACTUAL numbers the dealers and wholesalers look at, and I believe that's Black Book.

You are right about the Black Book that dealers look at...they pay for a subscription, in order to have the best info available- that includes color swatches and repair history and recalls and all sorts of goodies. Their algorithms are also updated more frequently to reflect currencyvalues.

You'll need to provide more information to obtain an accurate answer. If you want to PM me your VIN (last 7 will do), I will try and get a line on your info - through a pal who is a subscriber. Also, the internet valuation websites are often pretty accurate, especially if you input all of the fields. They are often the choice of dealerships instead of the black book, because they are free.

I had the link to Black Book sometime ago when I was looking to trade my car. Someone posted it on a forum, but I have somehow misplaced it at this point. Long story short, it is not the gospel and the dealer wouldn't come within $1500 of the "good" stated value of my car. My car is pristine. At the end of the day, your car is only worth what someone will give you right now......
