Is it worth it? Was thinking about installing eboost 2. How manny of you have had a mbc and changed to a ebc? Was it worth it?

If it can change boost levels with rpm it would be
worth it.

The Eboost2 is a nice unit.

You going with the boost by gear with the standalone?

Whatever ECU you use should have boost control - use that so you can map it relative to other events happening.

I went from a Hallman Pro mbc to a Profec B spec 2. Definitely worth it. The mbc could not hold a desired boost level to redline.

The ebc gives you infinite adjustability to get a flat boost curve.

yes, that my issue. boost control was never an issue till now. Not getting any creep btw.

This car is running on MS and has a s38 w/turbo. I want to hold 20-22psi with out worries and get into 600rwhp on the stock s38.

The car will be going through some major changes over winter but i wanna se what the stock s38b36 will take with the mls and studs...

I'm wondering the same thing here since mines been sitting in the box for 2 years collecting dust. My current setup is wastegate spring 5.8psi and dual switched manual controller up to an extra 15psi. I've asked everyone and they say just put the spring in the wastegate that you want to run daily and leave the dual switch. Others say that the EBC is too much of a pain in the rear to dial in but I guess it depends on the individual preference and many have said it's the better way to control how boost is applied to your car. Two years and still about 50/50 with no solid answers. Hope i didn't waste $500 bucks for nothing.

This is a no brainer. EBC is far better than MBC any day. If you have a decent standalone you can just use it, otherwise put an EBC on it.

Well two years ago I bought the Gizzmo MS- IBC and i didn't see or hear anyone talking about it so I just left it on the shelf. Don't want to waste it so I guess I'll install it soon. If anyone have any experience setting up the controller let me know. It's a little different then the eboost 2 everyone talks about on here.
