My power steering pump in my 1990 BMW 525i is going out and I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a high quality one? And relatively cheap? the auto part store in my town said they can get one for $385 but i'm trying to see if i can get it cheaper anywhere.
Thanks

Does my car have self leveling suspension? I need to know that in order to buy a new pump

I think the best way to find out is to check the rear shocks.

If they look like this:

Number 1, normal shock absorber, then you don't have self leveling.

But if they look like this:

With some sort of small extra cylinder molded to the bottom, you have self leveling.

Or maybe you can see it on the power steering pump. It normally has 2 hoses coming to it, for in and out. There are more than 2 if you have the pump for the self leveling system.
