Hello everyone! Ive been lurking around the forum for awhile and decided to ask a question as well as an opinion. I have a '89 535i 5spd with black interior. I wanted to add carbon fiber trim that ive seen on ebay fo awhile. I've already have the dash overlay and painted the needles and slashes red. So i wanted to go a step further with the c/f trim with shifter and ebrake covers also. Has anyone tired these kits yet? I've seen the wood grain ones and they're ok but i didnt want that in mine. Does anyone have any pics of theirs done and what is your opinion of it? Thanks!

Haven't seen CF kits but pics of what you've done so far. How do the gauges illuminate at night with the paint on them?

They light up just fine. Almost like the original orange but more of a reddish glow. I will post pics when i get my car back in a couple of days. I have th white gauge overlay but havnt put them in yet. I was trying to get the carbon fiber trim kit but thought maybe they would clash. Im used to the black background on the dash. My interior is black leather but could stand an upgrade on the trim, thats wht i wanted to add c/f trim. I think the kit is around $120 and comes with 15pieces. Here is a few pics.
