The bearing is bad in my transmission pump. Anyone have one already out of their transmission?

I've got a 4hp22eh with a bad A clutch pack. I can pull it apart and send you the pump if you need it.

First, it was slipping. Thought the clutches were bad. Then, I'd rev until the car would jerk, then it'd seem to work normal but it'd say TRANS PROGRAM and wouldn't rev past 3000rpms. Then, it stopped working all together and started smoking a lot(I reminded it that it was a bad habit) and leaking a little. You can hear the bearing in the trans oil pump rattle as it tries to work. Even after the car is running and after the slight atf leak, the tranny dipstick says the fluid is above full; hence, me thinking the pump isn't working.

It's probably not the pump, you've likely got a set of bad stator shaft seals which lead to a failed A clutch pack. Does it move backwards?

Thatd be great, Binjammin!!! PM me the price?

At first it moved both ways, just kept slipping. Now it doesnt move at all. I can hear the bearing in the pump, though.

idk man, a pump typically will engage a gear after getting some rpm. If anything I'd say pull your old box out and tear into it to see what's up. You may very well need a new A AND F clutch packs if the car doesn't move at all. See what's dead, I'll ship you what I can. No sense in sending the wrong parts you know?

Alright, thanks. I'll pm you with everything I know of thats bad, but I do know the pump is bad. Everything used to engage after some rpms, but now it doesn't. I can hear it rattling :( got a price for the pump, though?

You can hear a rattling, but that doesn't mean it's the pump. There are a lot of parts in an automatic tranny that can fail and rattle. I don't know if you have access to a lift, but with my car on the lift I can yank the autobox out in 45 minutes. Never had to do it without the lift, but I'd wager an hour's time or so for that, maybe 1.5 if I dicked around. They're pretty easy to remove, even light enough for one dude to lift, something like 110lbs or so.

The pump should fit in a flat rate box, shipping anywhere would be like $6 or something. Send me back something like a local food I can't get around here in trade or something, it's a part that would go into the trash otherwise.

Given the problems I've had with this car, the hole might be the way to go lol

I can find it in Radford, most of southwest VA, seen it a few times in Rockingham county or Staunton.

For those that don't know its a cola made with cherry syrup. Like cherry coke except it tastes good.
