So does anyone know any good sites to look up accessories for my E34? I've been online looking for a gun compartment and other such stuff. Maybe a replacement from the stock ashtray to something like a FRIGGIN CUP HOLDER! Thanks in advance for any replies.

As a European ,, myself and most other EU driver we do not understand this USA-syndrome for cupholders ,, until recently i was reading in a car magazine that in EU the speed is a lot higher and you have to concentrate when driving
like on the unlimited-speed AUTOBAHN .. you JUST DRIVE ,, you are not sitting and sipping on you coke can or coffee or what ever you are drinking
but in USA the speed is mostly limited to 55 and sometimes 65 mph
so that is the reason ,,,,,,,,
just my opinion ;)

BavAuto (http://www.bavauto.com) has a decent selection of accessories, including cupholders.
I have this one:

and it works just fine for me. Stow it in the glovebox when I don't need it. People put far too much effort into making "the perfect cupholder," IMO.
Dunno if the other two of the "big three," Pelican Parts (http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/catalog/catalog.htm) and AutohausAZ (http://www.autohausaz.com/), would have much in the way of accessories; they seem like more parts-oriented sites.

I just wedge the drink in the tray behind the window switches. You just have to be careful. I have had some spills. No damage or anything thank God. I only have drinks in the car if I hit the drive-thru on the way home and I try not to do it to often. On longer road trips I just use bottled water.

That cup holder is POS, make an aggressive turn and your drinks will be upside down.

You're right; I really should upgrade for all those times I do a Rockford with my Big Gulp™. :rolleyes
C'mon dude, it's a cupholder. Cup. Holder. It holds cups, period. If people put half the effort into maintaining their cars properly as they do in finding the Mother of All Cupholders, all our E34s would be running perfectly. Just drive gently until you can take the drink out of the car.

I've been crotching it for 25 years. All manual cars. Hot coffee in the morning with a smoke rowing the gears like a champ.
It's funny when my GF and I are in her jeep, she always says use the cup holder.
But I have an old habit and have Noe interest in the cup holder.

I have the dual one that has the matching wood grain that fits in the car phone spot it works real well. It stores flat when not in use and the cup size width is adjustable. They sell for more than $120 but I scooped it up on ePay for like 40 bones.

Cup holders don't fly off when you down shift to third. The better cup holder is the one that goes in rear console. This one is a poor excuse of a cup holder.

I had this one, best one I have seen.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-Cupholder-E32-E34-735-740-525-535-Cup-holder-/180517708922?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a07b1a47a
It only works if you don't have ASC. My 535 was a manual and it never got in the way.
