I've been noticing a fairly strong fuel smell coming from the under the hood recently. Its only after I've been driving the car, not while its just sitting there. Does the summer heat cause excess vapors to come out of that charcoal canister line, or should I be investing in a fire suit?

Why not run it to the intake? It has a valve on it.

ran as stock will the line allow boost into the tank? or is the valve only open during cruise/vacuum situations??

Pretty sure that it's only open during idle/cruising. The stock line/solenoid are there on both of my turbo cars.

Well, since you haven't blown up yet I suppose I'll give it a try.

You still have the stock solenoid, right? It's between the line and the manifold.

Yes, but I have a feeling some JB weld may have found its way into that particular hole.

Meh, drill/tap an npt fitting for a new one. You want something tight enough to not blow off anyway.

check the fuel lines at the fuel pump under your rear seat. It's very common for them to fail and leak. You just need to buy a hose clamp and reclamp it.

AA has you put a 1 way check valve on the charcoal canister purge valve. Not sure how healthy boost is for it or not.

TT doesn't, but it couldn't hurt.

My car has exact the same problem like yours, I'm going to change all the seals for the injectors next week, then I'll see what happen.
