i was on my way home form the lake (about a 45 min drive) following my friend in his tahoe, we were being kids and enjoying the curvy road back to town.
I felt the car shutter a bit, then i hit the throttle a little more, it didnt go, it just kept slowing down, the transmission down shifted, as the car would normally then rocket down the road then, it just kept slowing down. i pulled over with the flashers on, put it in nuetral and tried to keep it running, i just let it die then, popped the hood, nothing wrong, all the vacuum lines are on, no unmetered air getting in anywhere. start it up, it starts right up.
get going again, runs fine. did it again. when i first felt it it bogged down, then acted fine again. then is when i started pulling over when it did it again, this was after about 30 minutes of the trip. got it home, still ran ok when i pulled in.
sorry for the long story, anyway:
could it be bad gas? i made the mistake of filling up at when the tanker truck was there, i was in a huge hurry to get gas and get up to fort wayne.
could it be the fuel pump? the screen is clogged or the fuel filter is clogged?
