Shock absorber stiffness on R56

Hi there,
I've been driving my CooperD R56 for a week, previously I used to drive a Z3 1.9.
The Mini har 16" wheels but when driving on holes suspension often goes to the end of its run, making a very bad noise...the z3 necer had this problem.

Shall I switch to stiffer springs?

Update: run flat tyres were the cause of such stiffness.
