For the last few days I have been experiencing a severe pulsation... almost like a 'hop' in the car while turning right at cruising speeds.

SYMPTOMS:
*It will happen only while turning right, not straight or left.
*It occurs regardless of whether I'm accelerating, coasting, cruising, or braking.
*It doesn't seem to be affected by any of these conditions; i.e. it won't get better or worse if I give it throttle or brakes.
*It only occurs at 45mph or greater, and increases in severity with vehicle speed.
*No pulsation is felt on the pedals or the steering wheel, however, the car 'hops' so to speak.

I'm all ears, and out of ideas. What does bimmerforums think?

What maintenance have you done to the car?

Suspension:
-Control arm joints (front)
-Lower control arm bushing (front)
-Tie rods
-Rear trailing arm bushings
-Shocks and/or mounts

Bad tires with bubbles, unbalanced wheel, loose wheel, bearings.

So many things, you should start checking under there.

Does the wheel "pop" when you corner? if so it's most likely your control arm bushings- you can check by getting down next to the wheel- try to move it back and forth- if is moves you need that bushing, also while your down there check to see if your wheel bearings have play by wiggling them in and out- if they dont move their good too

Dont force anything and both these are a lot easier to do on a lift(my local monroe will put mine on a lift for free) =]

Hope that helps

Likely control arm bushings. I had to replace it in my 95 318 vert.
