when you check the coolant after the car's been sitting overnight, does it make a sound like there is still pressure in the system ?

i think my car's been running cooler since i had the aux fan all the time on high now..(my clutch fan went and needed this)

but the needle is always in the needle maybe a 0.5 mm to the left if anything.
(if car is running colder than normal it wouldnt be in the middle would it?)

Overnight typically there is no pressure left in the system because the engine temp will be cool by then, but a little pressure is fine.

Aux fan is for your air conditioning and doesn't affect radiator cooling...or if it does the effect is very minimal. That's why people run spal fans.

The coolant temperature sensor in these cars also has a very wide buffer range, so don't rely on that to tell you whether it's running hotter or cooler. More than likely, you may just need a new sensor if it's not sitting where it is supposed to

It should only be running cooler now if it was running too hot to begin with. The thermostat is still there to keep the engine at its operating temperature.

The aux fan certainly does cool the radiator, and it does a pretty fine job of it too. My car would overheat in minutes without it as it's the only fan I have. Summers here are brutal.

If you're concerned that it's running too cool you can replace the thermostat for a few bucks, but I'm not convinced that you have anything to worry about.

I use the aux fan only, and it does a pretty good job of cooling, but don't sit in traffic for too long, because then you'll be trying to cool a hot radiator with hot air, and that's never a good thing.

Even if the air is cooler than the radiator, it simply wouldn't get enough flow to cool the radiator down sufficiently.

yeah definitely, nothing will cool like the clutch fan when its engaged or a spal fan.. but that aux fan on high is like a wind tunnel. i will leave it like this till the fan motor dies then i will buy a new motor for it
