Hi guys,
First of all, I have searched and many of you say that the 325i and 318i struts/springs are different. I have checked the part numbers off of the bilstein website as well as realoem, and I have found that the part number for the struts are the same for for the 325i as well as the 318i. What I have not been able to verify is if they use the same springs. On realoem they say that it depends on the vehicle options. I am assuming that the 325i and 318i use different springs (different spring rates to accommodate for diff. engine weights.). I just thought that I would share this, hoping that someone who knows (facts) how big of a difference (if any) the springs have. If any one knows for certain, it would be great if they would chime in. I searched and did not find this information, if it is already known/documented please omit this thread.

I asked a while back about the springs. Everyone here said the springs would fit. I bought them.... have not put them in yet though just need a few other suspension items for the full overhaul. So i really hope they work or not I'm going to be sliding down shit's street.

So you bought 325i springs, planning on putting them in your 318?

I don't see how that would be a problem really, stiffer spring rate is better than one that is too soft.

Im mostly wondering because I have a set of Racingdynamics springs mounted on bilsteins from a 318 lying around, and want to know if I need to switch out the springs or not.
