Im planning on putting a new performance muffler on my car and want to remove my cats going straight pipe. The problem is that if i remove the O2 sensors after the cats my check engine light will come on and the car will run on limp mode. And if i make a hole to thread them on then they will receive all that straight fume and make the car run lean, correct me if im wrong. So have any of you guys who has done this please tell me the correct way to do it, appreciate your help. Some guy told me about making tiny side compartment like tubular for the O2 sensor to sit in there so it won't get hit by all the fumes, is this a good idea???

You need 02 simulators for that project. Actually the post-cat sensors are for monitoring purposes only and have no effect on mixture, so there's no problem there (the pre-cat sensors are absolutely necessary though). But not having them will turn on the cel, which is why you need simulators.

edit: as a side note, presumably you've checked your local laws regarding the legality of your project and are planning accordingly. . .

Where can i get O2 simulators? What happens if i use the same O2 sensors im using now??? Actually I think they do serve the purpose for mixture because when one of mine went bad I could smell the car burning more gas, it smelled like paint thinner out the exhaust. When I replaced it the smell went away along with the check engine light, after erasing the code.
