I have a 98 E39 it seems like a nice ride height but i need to replace the front struts anyways so i wanted to get everything done in one shot. i just want to lower it 1 inch or so nothing special... but i want a nice ride to it not to stiff since i travel to new york often... need and springs as cheap as possible.
i was wondering if i can use some stock shocks on some eibach springs all i want to lower is 1 inch front and back... would it still ride the same??? i dont want it to be to low dont want to rip off my oil pan just the tires to be tucked a little bit ...i know the coilover complete suspension is over 1k i need something just a little less...
you have any suggestions???
here are pics of my car as it sits... to me it looks lowered bacause of my rims but 1 inch front and back will look good..

I wouldn't. The stock struts were not designed for lowering springs. They will undoubtedly fail prematurely.

Yes you can use stock struts and shocks w/ no problem especially w/ eibachs, as they barely lower it, about an inch like you said you wanted. Check out Fiziks ad I haven't but if his price is good that would be a good set up for you!

Seats come out real easy a couple bolts a pull, nothing complicated maybe 20 minutes tops if you have no experience. The backseat is easier than getting the rear susp. apart.

We have H&R OE Sport Springs and OEM Equivalent (Sachs) shocks avaialble.
OE Sport Springs are designed with a revised spring rate for increased driving convenience with great handling characteristics.
OE Sport Springs offer a mild lowering to cleanup that "too high-rally-stock look" and stock ride comfort is retained.
You can find all of them below...
