Issues of a 02 Mini

When buying a 02 Mini, are there any issues like electronic steering problems that a buyer should be aware of?

I thought you already bought like three other cars already.

The problems are in the hoses and the pump. There is a little fan under the car that should be replaced regularly (every 50K) that keeps the pump cool. That will keep it from over heating. The hoses should be replaced as regular maintenance as well.

Is this an issue for 06 models as well?
I've noticed the power steering is louder than I've ever noticed on a car before, weird.

I'm not sure if the issue was fixed. But when you do your next oil change look to see if there is a fan that looks like a computer fan next to the drain plug. That is what fails on the MINI. I was told that if you lose power steering in corners to pull over and shut the car off and to let everything cool off before continuing. That is the symptom of a broken fan and if you keep going the power steering pump can over heat.
