What kind of performance can I expect if I install some schrick camshafts in my M54 engine? Also, I read somewhere on BF of someone using S54 camshafts- has anyone done this to their engine? What was the experience? Notice any difference? Thanks

In general (this is based on ford small block experience) cam upgrades provide a limited improvement in the absence of other work. Have to improve the flow (intake and exhaust) and the compression (new pistons) and then the cams will make a difference.

I'm jealous of the folks putting superchargers on their cars. That would seem to be the best way to get reliable/predictable HP improvements. Of course YMMV.
