hi guys i have a 520i touring with self levelling suspension and i am very confused. i have had svereal problems with the SLS including airbags and a pump/air supply unit in the following order
1. Left side bellow/airbag replaced September 2009
2. Pump/air supply unit replaced December 2009 (error was valve was not opening hence unable to pump suspension)
3. Right side bellow/airbag replaced Decembner 2009 less than 1 week after event no2

Ever since event no2 ie pump being replaced it sags on the left hand side if the ignition is off for a while ie parked overnight but i am not getting any lights on the dashboard. i dont know what to do can anyone please help i am pulling my hair out thanks a lot

it rises up again when i start the engine but not with the key fob like i thought it did and i do hear the pump workig sporradically when i am driving it and i dont think i used to. is the pimp and and air supply unit the same thing and is it possible i have been fitted with a dodgy air suppy unit remember NO LIGHTS ON THE DASH or could it be a leak

I am dealing with that EXACT problem right now. You are going to need a new airbag. Its most likely leaking and you wont be able to drive it soon enough. If you are in the los angeles area, i know where you can get it done for a really good price :)

i dont think its the air bag because it only goes on the left side since the new pump was fitted airbag fitted two months prior to pump. or is it possible i have been sold a dodgy pump or could be that the airlines havent been tightened properly. if a valve is not closing properly can u replace just the valve or do you have to replace the whole air supply unit.f its a valve would it trigger light on dash

to be honest, i havent learned too much about all of this. your best shot its to go get it checked out at a really good indy mechanic.
