Difference in the 525 and 530

I am 15 so I don't have a car yet but my mom currently has a 2001 525i and around january we will be getting a new car. I'm pretty sure we will be getting a new 530i instead of the new 525 because my dad wants some more power. I was wondering if this extra hp(184 in 525 and 225 in the 530) makes a big difference. Is the 530 a lot faster off the line, etc? What other noticeable differences are there? Thanks for the help.

The power makes a pretty signifigant difference. The more torque helps the most. Off the line the 530i wil walk it with ease. Just like the 330i will take the 325i, if you know about those cars.
