well i just got a 1995 325i about 2 weeks ago and i went bavarian autosport to look at a chip and they will not make a chip for 1995 models because of the EWS-II secruity system in the computer... just my luck lol

could i just get a computer from a 92-94 model car and it swap right over with no problems?

If you want the car to actually run, then no.
That was my smart ass answer. On second thought, I always thought 96 was first year of EWSII OBDII. I could be wrong though. It has happened once before.

You can just disable the EWS II

Are you sure of the correctness of Bav Auto's answer? Sounds like someone pulled a fast one on you, or at least mis informed. You can always pull the ECU and find out the type and then you buy the plug in chip from the forums used. Dinan ones come up sometimes for cheap.

i havent looked the number yet but they say the production date from 01/95 threw 06/95 will not work or some crap like that. mine was 02/95. Ill check into it more. ill email them my ECU number and see what they say about it

Active Autowerke seems to have no problems listing chips for your car. What's the price difference? I trust AA way more than BavAuto. Either that or go to Turner which uses the Jim Conforti softwares/chips.
