How many people have done this. Not about to spend stupid money on some rubber and a K&N Cone. Want to make one easy to take off for warranty work too. Anybody dyno tested there homeade one against a manufact?

I have a homemade CAI on my civic. Not sure about dyno but all I have is CAI, muffler, dc sports header and I ran a 15.103. I noticed a big dif and it looks quite nice too.

I made mine. Filter was $35 at an auto parts store and the pipe was like $14 from ebay. I still need to buy a shield from ECIS before next summer though.

Chris (BMW325IMAN) made one himself, he sent me some pics, you might want to hit him up with q's. His was similar to the BenFer one I got thru the group buy a few months back. Hope that helps.

Some people cut an opening on the bottom of the airbox and connect a hose from there to the grille in the bumper. The stock airbox is restrictive b/c the air makes several bends before going through the filter. The air that enters from the above described opening is not subjected to those bends.
anyone know a site with some info etc? We still dont kno if it will work just as well as spending 350 bucks at turner..

All you gotta do is make sure the filter will flow more air than stock.
