Hi, I did some searching but couldn’t find much info. I am trying to see if I can fit a 91 318 driveshaft into my 85 318 car (M10 engine, 5spd). The only thing I could notice is that the U joints look a little different, but would the lengths and connectors allow me to directly swap it into my car?

In that case, would any non 85 driveshaft work?

I got quoted by a local for $385 to reman it.

Thanks

I have a perfect driveshaft out of my '84 318i you can pick up for $75. It has a 3 yr old CSB in excellent shape and is ready to install. I just did an M20b25 swap so if you need any other M10 drivetrain parts LMK. The car had 265k miles when I pulled it. The engine ran like a top(as far as M10s go) up to the day it got pulled. Last year it dynoed @ 96rwhp, which ain't bad for an M10. I have maintenance records back to 30k miles. The clutch has @ 35k miles and looks new. Anyway, call me about the driveshaft. 404.697.9411 Pete

Sure, I'm very interested. Do you also have the flex joint?
If you have time this weekend, I'd like to maybe swing by and pick it up.
Let me know if that's the case and I'll give you a call about the details.

Thanks

I used the flex disc in my swap. The one that came with the engine was torn. Give me a call in the morning. I'm going to be running around on monday and I may be able to just bring the driveshaft and meet somewhere.

Hey sorry I didn't get a chance to get back to you last weekend. I was traveling in and out of town a few times all week. If you have time this weekend, I'd like to meet up and pick it up.
