yes another squeal question...

Just replaced front pads and rotors. Red box Mintex, Brembo rotors, and used Ate Plastilube anti-squeal for the entire back of the pads. Bedded them too.

Not too concerned about a continuous squeal when applying the brakes and coming to a stop (It's not too loud). I'm more concerned about the "rotational" squeal (for lack of a better term). The kind where it sounds like the squeal is caused by a certain area of the rotor - or at least that area is causing the pads to vibrate.

Are my rotors warped already!?!? Or is this just "normal" squeal too?
Thanks in advanced!

Your dust shield got bent and is rubbing on the rotor :dunno:

If the dust cover was bent then it'd squeal all the time.

It could just be the combo of brake rotor and pads, unless someone here has the same setup with no problems.

thanks...

hope the wheel hub (is that what you call it? what the rotor is mounted to) is not bent, relative to the caliper mounts??

i also know my front end is loose; my upper and lower arm bushings are worn. i'm guessing the wheel is probably moving under braking.

i'm gonna try re-mounting the pads and cals...is this a waste of time tho??
