I know its been closed to new members for a long time, and they haven't been giving out invite codes, in the past, But I've been wanting to register for over a year now, and everyone i've found that is registered does not have any invite codes...

I've even tried sending emails to fister with no replys... dont know if he disappeared or what...

But if anyone has one, i still want one!

I was hoping someone who was on the board could try and email admintron (http://ecubb.bmwecu.org/board/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3454&sid=12a9d1fe6ac51e973cf1d733db0822ec) and see what he says, i'm guessing this is another administrator... or if you are able to find another active admin...

Maybe find out what needs to be done by current members in order to get some invites that they can send out?

I see people post in the new member introductions from time to time, may 12 was the last one... but no idea if its a new member or someone just replying to a thread or what.. But maybe someone who is registered could ask these people what they did in order to be able to sign up (how they got an invite code)?

I've been a member of bmwecu for quite awhile but I've never posted so I doubt I'd have much influence in getting anyone an invite. There's not a lot of activity there, and it's been quite awhile since Fister posted anything. I think he has had health problems.

What are you looking for?

I think Ken can not find the internet orders between the thousands of mails asking for an invite code, I know two or three of my mails are guilty as well..;)

Maybe your first post could be asking if anyone has any invite codes? I just want on, and it seems like there is no way to do it... even though parts of their website say that you need a code.. I'm wondering if anyone gets them???

Or if there is gunna be an open registration anytime... EVER.... It looks like there may be more admins than just ken... so I'm thinking one of them could open it up..

When I tried to join I was looking for specific information I could see in a post but I could not see the rest of the four pages. I was lucky as the few pages was mirrored somewhere else, so no problem there.

Robstah knows a bit about the software and made alot of headway for the rest of us, we are very lucky he is posting here now. We need to continue making this forum the place for information and questions and answers. BMWECU inspired, and initiated it, but without any new registrations and no ability for us to receive or post information from there, we just need to continue to carry the torch here.

There is information in their members area re the use of SCO 5.0.7 drivers to overcome a couple of problems which I would be interested in if anyone has access

Exactly what sort of "problems" are you talking about? There are hundreds of posts on bmwecu.org which address the use of sco 5.0.7 (many of which are now fairly redundant as the use of openserver software was targetted at developing an installation base for DIS).
