Sorry, my ZKE fault code list is still a work in progress but ZKE is usually associated with power windows and central locking.

And then when I cleared it and tried again, I got (same zke4.dxt) Code 2, diagnose 1, "15 Lock Contact".

Guessing it can't tell if one of the doors is locked or not?

Nope, 15 Lock Contact refers to the microswitch on the door lock, which is obviously not functioning correctly. I cleaned one on my coupe after getting the same code and it has not malfunctioned since.
