Hello Everyone;
First of a BIG thank you to all who post here. This information is so very helpful and I love what I find here. It has been such a pleasure reading everyone's helpful DIYs and other info. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

So, my question is that I just picked up a set of Miglia 1000 rims (size is 7.5x16.) and I am thinking of going with General Exclaim UHP 254/50/ZR16 tires for my 2001 525i (E39).

Is that a good idea? Am I streching it to put on 245/50 tires on a 7.5 rim?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

The 245/50R16 will fit fine on the 16X7.5 wheels. The General tire is a good summer performance tire in the wet and OK handling in the dry. They are also a good wearing tire for a performance tire.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

Jim;
Thanks for the reply. I got the tires off of craigslist as well and they are in perfect shape (barely a few hundred miles). I have the rims in for re-finishing. Will post pics after they are on the car.
Thanks. I will keep your info handy just in case I need some tires later.
