I'm upgrading from stock bottle caps to 17" Bremmer Kraft wheels (square set up) on my e36. I'm a college student on a budget however, and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for tires.
I need them to be useable year-round but I live in Arkansas and we only get snow maybe once or twice a year. Can anyone recommend some good tires for this set up under $100 a piece?

Take a look at the Sumitomo HTRZ III as well as the Hankook. They are both having rebates on a set of four tires.
If I can help let me know.

My car is lowered about 1"-1.5" all around on H&R sport springs with Bilstein shocks/struts. Would I have any problems fitting a 225/45/17 tire under the fenders?

I had Yokohama AVS ES100 on my E36 M3. Inexpensive and a good tire (From Tire Rack). I was running 225/40 on 18x8 up front and 255/35 on 18x10 in the rear. You won't have any problems with fitment on 17" rims.

If the wheels are 3 series offset, no, you'll be fine/

I agree, 225/45R17 should be no issue on a 3 Series.
