Should I pay $14,9k or so for a loaded up 06 or spring another $2k for a more stripped down 07 to get the turbo motor?
The 2 06's have every option I want and then some, both have a LSD as well, and mileage int he 55-60k range and are one owner cars, one has all the service records as well.

I am very biased to the early cars so go for the '06.

I think I'm better off getting the last year of the R53 rather than the first year of the R56. I drove a perfect 06 last night with every mods but nav for $14,9k, I'm going to try and get that one I think.

Bought it, loving the car!
Now I need to get some new rims/tires, these run flats suck.

Great news! I know you will enjoy it.

You need to check out www.motoringalliance.com as a source of great info and a great group of MINI lovers. Try to stay away from northamericanmotoring.com if you can. It has turned into a real cesspool.........LOL

Haha, I prefer NAM over motoringalliance...

Congrats on the car, I'd have recommended the R53 too!

Sorry you waste your time on NAM....can't stand the over-moderation and the bickering. So glad the numbers on NAM are dropping.

Hey guys, instead of telling people to leave our forum for others, why not try to spend a little bit more time here to help build up the MINI presence? I find all those forums to be whoafully inadequate, BFC has the memberbase and the structure to be a MINI powerhouse, we just need to start posting more to sheppard in more sheep.

Agreed Silverbeam, I've been on bf.com since the very early days and would love to use this board for my Mini stuff now but as slow as the other boards are this one is dead.
I will continue to push this board though as well.
Since many of the BMW parts suppliers have abandoned the mini market there is less crossover of BMW modders and Mini modders coming to this site now.
Rogue is out, UUC is out, Dinan is pretty much out, Turner is out, etc.

Thanks for the support! Kevlar is re-writing some of the copy on the page to help boost the search engine results when people search for MINI forums, but we need to start generating as much MINI content as possible to start drawing people in.
