I have a GT1 replica with DIS and SSS.
The car is a 96 OBDII M3.
I have a ready to go binary file.

Can this be done using what's there in the original SSS program? If so, what commands would you follow to do so. I've heard people in other countries saying they use the GT1 to do this all the time...

Please no comments on the GT1 replica capabilities. There has been absolutely nothing that it hasn't been able to do to date.

No, it can't do anything with a binary file.

If you turn your binary into a hex file, checksum THAT correctly, and fool DIS into thinking it's programming that original hex file, it would probably work.

That would be going around your ass to get to your elbow.

What replica GT1 are you using?

Ummm... Chinese. It's not like they're branded so I can't even answer your question.

My question is really if you are happy with the e bay chinese GT1 or not. I am looking at getting the kit with the yellow head and the OPS head and wondered what these are like in the real world. Didn't mean what brand you were using, it looks like everything out there comes from the same supplier.
