I just picked up a set of Style 5s and they're getting refinished :mad but I need to know how wide I can go on an E36 stock fenders and H&R sport springs (car is never going lower than this).
To be honest I'm not looking to do the stretched tire (215/40/16) since I'm not a fan of that look but I also do not want to have rubbing issues. I am willing to flare the fenders and use spacers but I would like to know how wide of a tire you guys are running on your 16" style 5s and what setup you're running.
Thanks in advance.

Most people ran 205/50 or 205/55 IIRC.
I'd personally try running a 225/50 because I like meaty tires.

16x8 Et23 with 205/50/16. Im pretty low, on coilovers, not rubbing. Also they stretch a bit on that rim.

will the 225s rub on the front suspension or rear fenders?
205 on an 8" wheel? It doesn't look stretched at all on the ti^^ I don't want to buy a skinnier tire than stock (215s) though.

bump, 205s can't be the widest on an 8" wheel for the E36?

Yes it can with that offset. You can run 245 if you want on a e36 offset wheel; the e38 weaves? No, 205s is what you want ... 215s tops probably.
edit: 205 IS the stock width for a e36 tire.

so....anyone else with 16" Style 5s +23 offsets and what they're running? So far It seems like 215/40/16s is the widest without rubbing.
