OK so i am just beginning the process of polishing the lip on my style 19s. I am leaving the center finished as it is because they are perfect. When I go to bolt these back together do I need some kind of sealant to keep the air on the inside of the tire from becoming one with the air on the outside if the tire. I.E. how do i seal these to keep the air-tight??????
Plain ol silicone, melted milk duds, what's the secret formula?

??? umm... dood... style 19's are the same as style 5's... they are only 2 piece wheels.. not 3..

okay so will my plan to take off the outer lip and polish it work or will it not work? I care not how many parts it will break down into, I just want to be able to polish the outer lip>

Dude there are many DIYs on this, search.
Main idea is that the centers will unbolt and drop out. So you will have the lip and barrel as one piece, then you can strip the clear coat, light sanding if needed, then polish that thing up.

In fact do a google search for style 5 refinishing and the first thing that comes up is BeemerBuyer's DIY.
