I just thought I'd share, since this is an easy way to bring new life to your wheels. I used the Wurth silver metallic paint, rustoleum metal primer and rusoleum lacquer clear coat. I don;t have the before pictures right now, but should be able to get a hold of them in a few days to post here. They had quite a bit or curb rash on them. I sanded the rash out with my palm sander, filled with Napa spot putty, and sanded again by hand with 400 grit. I cleaned the wheels with mineral spirits (a lot). I did 4-5 coats of primer. Then 4-5 coats of Wurth. All coats were very light.

I noticed that on the can of Wurth, it says to cure the paint at 400 degrees. My wife won't let me put the wheels in the oven, so I am going to just let the paint dry / cure for about 4 days before I spray the clear coat.

There's no rush. My engine bay is currently without a motor.

No wet sanding. I think the textured paint will look really cool through the clear coat.

I asked her as a joke, just to see her reaction. The funny thing is that my neighbor was there when I asked her, and he told me I could use his oven!

Bro, that stuff doesn't fly when you are married. GF yelled at me = wife made me sleep on couch for a month. It's much easier to buy a used electric stove, stuff it in the corner of the garage and bake your car parts in that...LOL
