seriously doubt it. a lot of custom work would need to be done, such as cutting out the spare tire well or banging it up. this is even true for the e39.

No.

The M5 is a dual-outlet system that eliminates the spare tire well for clearance. It's also a V8 instead of your I6, so the bolt-up is probably different.

And finally, why would you want to? Guaranteed that the M5 system weighs more and would not be properly tuned for your 530i. It may also sound funky as the I6 has different exhaust pulsewidth/tone than the M5.

...and rob gets owned... that was great! :D:D:D

but, NO it won't fit... try the E34 540i exhaust if you want more flow.

Silly me. I missed the E34 part.

Probably because I could not even consider that someone would consider a cross-platform fitment for exhaust as the under-chassis shapes and fitment requirements are radically different.

It's like needing a nose job and asking the doc if he can install a chicken beak.

Get the right exhaust for your car. Hack conversions or cobbled-up nightmares almost never work as well as the right setup. I believe that SuperSprint and Remus (and undoubtedly others) make applications for the E34 530i.

I think you'd have to remove the fuel tank to get that exhaust in there...not good. Supersprint and Remus get consistantly good reviews, BavAuto sells a Tri-Flow exhaust that nobody seems to like. To answer the question before it is asked, yes you'll want to buy the center muffler/resonator and the rear muffler as a set. Don't try to mix/match the OEM center resonator with an aftermarket final muffler.

Not to mention, having 2 Rob's in one thread is confusing at times...
