I've done a lot of researching to what the possibilties are and I have narrowed it down to 4 sizes. First of all I have 235/45/17's on my car which I think are a great size. The tires are just much too meaty, and with my spacers and being low I rub like crazy, and overall it just doesn't look right. I think a 225 would be great in general, but later on I want the ability to go even lower.

So here are my choices:
-205/40/17
-205/45/17
-215/40/17
-215/45/17

First of all what is the biggest difference with sidewalls? In regards to stretch would the 45 or 40's stretch more? Of course I know the 205s would stretch more which is why I'm leaning away from them. I've read that 215's give a mild stretch, which sounds pretty good.

But of course there is another variable... BRANDS. I've seen many 215's on 8 inch wide wheels that look very stretched, and others that are barely even stretched at all. I just want a mild stretch.

So my choice off of my own research would be probably 215/40/17 because I don't want so much of a sidewall (as in they wont be as high in overall diameter which = less rubbing and bigger gap from fender which will allow me to lower it more????)

Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this. Like I said I've done hours of research and I just want a MILD stretch. I don't want my wheel to being poking out of the tire though. Anyone with 17x8 inch wheels it would be awesome if you could post pics, especially if you have style 5's :). Lastly, what brand should I go for?? I'm leaning towards Sumitomo HTRZII's because I have those on my car and I love them. And they are only $66 brand new :D
