Hi guys, I recently installed Win 7 Pro on all of my desktops and afterward I figured my laptop is perfectly compatible with it and I installed it. I just connected my external hd to grab the carsoft files to install on my laptop and while the folder is there, some of the items associated with folder (the crack, etc.) is not.

Does anyone know if it is compatible with Win 7 Pro? I'm getting my car back today and I have a CEL and would like to address the issue.

Well I got told that it would not work with vista/ USB convertor and it did and read all of the modules so my guess is that it should work from what I have heard win7 is quite compatible with old software let us know how ya get on pal.

I am using windows 7 32bit on my garage computer and have carsoft 6.5 sp1 installed and it works fine with my dedicated serial port (no adapter).

I did have to force it to run in XP compatibility mode with administrator rights, or at least I did in an effort to fix something that I may have fixed otherwise and just left it. Not sure. Bottom line is yes on 32bit.

Well I have 32bit on my laptop and I have a serial port on it, but the .exe file is there but is not in that form, I changed it to .exe but still nothing.

How do you force something to run in xp mode?

Does anyone of you know if there is a version of Carsoft 6.5 to work on 64bit system? My new laptop is running it, and i just installed EasyDis and GT1 according to Randomy/David Mc how to. Just for trying, because my garage computer is running XP and i couldn't connect to my car anymore!

So, is there a version of Carsoft (probably 6,5 to be used voor GT1) that runs on Windows 7?

6.5 is old old old old old. Pre 64 bit OS.

Carsoft is up to like 8.7 or something.

But with Carsoft 8.7 it should work to connect GT1??

Then i only need to get the 8.7 version and try..

I have Carsoft 6.5SP1 working perfectly well in Win7-64. I just copied the folder from an XP system and set carsoft.exe to run in compatibility mode for XP and as administrator.

With no problems? Then i only need the files from a XP machine, can you send them to me by mail? If so can you PM me, i don't want my email out on the messageboard!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone run into the error during installation, regarding "ccmv32aa.exe"?

There error says it's a compatibility issue, even though I ran the setup program in compatibility mode.

I have Carsoft 6.5.06 on Windows 7 64-bit and it works on mine. I got the copy following the directions in post # 1740 on p. 70 of the parked thread called "Carsoft Success" on the main page of the Diagnostic Software forum:
