What is the best process for removing the original clear or any other coating on the wheel before painting a different color.

Sandblast?
Sand sand sand by hand hand hand?
Other?
Combination?

you can spread some aircraft paint thinner from walmart...let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then take a scraper to it...it will peel right off...

Aircraft stripper. Not the spray stuff, but the brush-on gel.
